What is Isonga Youth?

This is a platform designed to amplify the voices of young people, ensuring their perspectives and ideas are integrated into the EU’s initiatives.
As a member, you will collaborate with peers, engage with policymakers, and contribute to projects that promote
socio-economic development, youth empowerment, and sustainable growth.

Members of the Youth Sounding Board will be elected for a period of 18 months.

Who is eligible?

You must be between 18-30 years of age.
You must be able to work and communicate in English.
You must have access to a smartphone or computer to join meetings.
You must be willing and able to dedicate around 40 hours a month.
You must be a Rwandan national OR have been residing in Rwanda for
more than 3 years OR hold a refugee status in Rwanda.

What Will You Do?

Provide your insights and ideas to European Union programs and policies at national,
regional and global level.
Promote links between the European Union and different youth groups in Rwanda and the region.
Receive relevant training in EU policies, public speaking, and other key areas.
Attend national or regional workshops/seminars related to youth topics.
Participate in events of the European Union, visit projects and attend partner events.
Join and create social media content and campaigns.
Engage with the European Union Global Youth Sounding Board and Youth Sounding Boards of
other countries of the region and continent.

Financial Support

Members are volunteers. However, internet packages will be provided so
that everyone can be able to participate.
Furthermore, when attending events for Isonga Youth functions
per diems and transportation will be covered.
